From the 18th of August until the 22nd of August, the Capital of Denmark will once again be pervaded by the colors of the rainbow, when Copenhagen Pride Week 2010 takes place - a fabulous week with lots of things to do and see. Gays of Denmark will come together as one group and celebrate the diversity of the gay community – with the common goal of obtaining even more tolerance, accept and respect from society.

The non-profit and award winning organization Copenhagen Pride, together with creative partners, the city of Copenhagen and its inhabitants, will create a fantastic atmosphere, which consists of entertainment in every form imaginable.

So much to do
Pride Week kicks off the 18th with the opening of Pride Square, which is a tent village situated on the square in front of the city town hall – right in the heart of Copenhagen. Throughout the whole week, well-known international and local DJs will play their latest beats, competitions will take place, movies will be shown and various types of artists will perform. Both tourists and locals, gays and non-gays, come here to feel the pleasant vibe of the tent village, where spirits are high.

So much to see
Copenhagen Pride Week 2010 is best known for the Copenhagen Pride Parade, which takes place Saturday, the 21st of August. Many local organizations, bars and companies have decided to participate in Pride Parade this year, and with already around 1,000 confirmed participants in the parade, it is going to be one of the biggest parades in the history of Copenhagen Pride. Backed by the supportive locals, who are in the streets in large numbers, the parade is really something to see.

Pride Parade is immediately followed by the great Pride Show – which takes place in front of City Hall. The show is by many considered to be the highlight of Copenhagen Pride Week and consequently, the square is packed with people. Copenhagen Pride promises that Pride Show 2010 will also be spectacular - with famous singers and performers.
The more, the happier
In Copenhagen Pride Week 2010, we put all of our differences aside, stand together as one group – to celebrate the diversity of our community. Only by being tolerant towards each other, we can get recognition from society as such. And recognition is paramount to obtaining equal rights – the right to love, who we want. 

So come and join Copenhagen Pride Week 2010, when we celebrate the right to love. Walk with us down the streets of beautiful Copenhagen along the fantastic parade and enjoy the amazing show. Experience this great gay event of Copenhagen - which received an award in June for being the best street party in Copenhagen, by the well-known and respected Danish website AOK.dk.

About Copenhagen Pride
Since 1996 Copenhagen Pride has arranged the yearly Pride, which culminates with the colorful Parade. Copenhagen Pride is a non-profit organization that is based on the engagement of the many volunteers. Ole Santos is the chairman.
This year, Copenhagen Pride Week takes place from Wednesday the 18th of August and ends on Sunday the 22nd of August. Pride Square, which is open all days, is situated on the square in front of the City Hall. The Pride Parade is sent off on Saturday the 21st of August and also ends on the square in front of City Hall – where the Pride Show is also taking place.
