The Copenhagen Pride parade is one of Copenhagen’s most iconic events, regularly bringing more than 250.000 people onto the streets. This year, the Parade is at 13.00 on Saturday 16 August.
Parade route
Once again this year, the parade will follow the route that starts at Frederiksberg City Hall and ends at Pride Square in Copenhagen, via Allegade, Frederiksberg Allé, Vesterbrogade, Hammerichsgade, Studiestræde and ends at Vester Voldgade. Along the route we will have speakers presenting the participating groups to the crowds of spectators.
Who is in the parade?
The parade includes organisations from the LGBTQIA+ community, human rights organisations, other Pride organisations, trade unions, political parties, Copenhagen Pride’s commercial partners, and others proud to show their support for LGBTQIA+ equality and human rights.
The list of parade groups and the order in which they will appear in the parade is published in August.
Can we be in the parade?
If you’re just a small group of friends, you can watch the parade from the side, or join in along the way. You must follow the instructions of our volunteers and staff who are there to ensure everyone’s safety.
If you’re an organisation, you need to register before 31 May. It’s free for LGBTQIA+ NGOs and civil society organisations. There is a small fee for other NGOs, professional groups and political parties.
The only businesses who are allowed to be in the parade are those who are our Partners. Click here to read more about becoming a Partner.

What are the rules?
We try to have as few rules as possible but we must have some to ensure a well-organised and safe event.
If you are coming to watch the parade, get yourself a great spot along the route and make sure you have sunscreen, an umbrella, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Please follow the instructions of our volunteers and staff, and of the police.
