With this year’s theme “FREEDOM” as the jumping-off point, the culture group presentsartists from different genres, and representation has been a focal point. The program features concerts, dance, literature, films – a wide range of versatile LGBTI+ events.

Copenhagen Pride has, for the first time, included an additional weekend for Pride Week. On Saturday, June 13th, all hatches are opened as we get the wheels rolling on the culture program with Reveal Party, Raymonde Gaunoux, Sander Sanchez, UBLU, and a newly choreographed dance performance among other things.

CULTURE HIGHLIGHTS:

Music program in collaboration with Queer Music Agency (QMA) – the only music agency in the world to solely represent queer artists.

Reveal Party, who some of you might already know from this year’s Roskilde Festival, is playing at our opening event. Emily Holm Nyhuus tells stories of love, and her life as a trans woman with a tongue-in-cheek, piercing sarcasm.

Place, date and time: Pride Square, Saturday 13 August, 17.00

Dancer and choreographer, Michael Hammerbo, has further developed his dance performance “Rain,” which he’ll perform in its brand-new format at Pride’s Opening Event.

The water is pouring down the two dancers’ bodies and is washing away their inner turmoil, growing like weeds inside of them.

Place, date and time: Pride Square, Saturday 13 August, 15.50 and 18.30

Film program in collaboration with Grand Teatret.

We’re screening the premiere of the Swedish movie “The Schoolmaster Games” with intrigue and pulsating eroticism in a Swedish boarding school, where it is straight to be queer! In addition, we’re also screening a couple of LGBTI+ film classics.

Place, date and time: Grand Teatret, Tuesday 16 August, 19.00
