TUI is a proud partner of Copenhagen Pride
We recently announced that TUI is one of the main partners of Copenhagen Pride 2023. In this article, they tell us about the considerations of the partnership and why it is important for them to support the work for LGBTI+ equality.
At TUI, we are proud to announce that we will be one of the main partners of Copenhagen Pride this year. Our collaboration with Copenhagen Pride is based on our belief that everyone should have the freedom to live freely and equally, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. At the same time, we believe that tourism can be a positive force in promoting acceptance and understanding between people. With more than 180 destinations across the globe, we have a unique opportunity to contribute to inclusion by connecting people from different cultures and backgrounds.
“For us, it makes perfect sense that our colleagues and logo should be part of the celebration. We are a large group of people from different cultures and with many different identities. No one should live in fear or hiding for any reason, and we want to support that,” says Rikke Thøgersen, Marketing Manager at TUI.

Through the TUI Care Foundation, we support initiatives that help improve the lives of people in developing countries by promoting education, health and sustainability. Part of these initiatives are dedicated to actively supporting LGBTI+ people around the world where their rights are limited.
At TUI, we prioritise continuous efforts to promote diversity and equality. We are committed to supporting initiatives that fight for equality and inclusion, not only within our company, but also in the communities we serve. We are active sponsors of Pride festivals across Europe, including Manchester Pride, Maspalomas Pride and Berlin Pride. Therefore, we are also proud to be part of Copenhagen Pride’s fight for equality and celebration of diversity and love.
